NATO allies provided aid to Ukraine worth USD 120 bln. over the past year, said Deputy Secretary General of NATO Mircea Geoană, APA reports.

“A year ago, since Putin ordered its tanks to pass the Ukrainian border, NATO allies provided unprecedented support to Ukraine by providing nearly USD 120 bln financial aid, humanitarian and military aid. Tanks, advanced air defense systems, ammunition, and other military equipment have been sent.”

According to him, although among the allies, the US is the largest contributor, NATO allies of Europe and Canada provided more than half of the total aid.

“Europeans also opened the door for Ukrainian refugees, unprecedented sanctions were applied against Russia, and using Russian oil was rejected.”
