Nvidia, Foxconn join forces on automated electric cars

Nvidia and Foxconn announced on Tuesday they entered a strategic partnership on the development of automated and autonomous electric vehicle platforms, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Under the deal, Foxconn will manufacture electronic control units (ECUs) based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip, that can achieve up to 254 trillion operations per second.

"This strategic cooperation with NVIDIA strengthens the intelligent driving solutions Foxconn will be able to provide. Together, we are enabling the industry to build energy-efficient, automated vehicles," Eric Yeh, senior director of Software Development Center at Foxconn stated.
