Poland summons Russian ambassador over incident involving fighter jet

Poland summoned Russia's ambassador Sergey Andreyev on Wednesday over an incident involving a Russian fighter jet and a Polish border guard aircraft over the Black Sea, a spokesman for the Polish foreign ministry said, APA reports citing Reuters.

Note that on May 7, the Polish border guards reported that the Russian Su-35 fighter jet intercepted the Polish Turbolet L-410 plane over the Black Sea.

According to official Warsaw information, the incident occurred on May 5 during the Frontex operation in the Black Sea region under the command of Romania.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia, on the other hand, before this incident, repeatedly stressed that the flights of Russian military aircraft are carried out in accordance with international rules on the use of airspace.
