The Russian ambassador in Warsaw, Sergei Andreev, was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry due to the entry of four subjects into Russia – the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, APA reports citing TASS.

Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz, commenting on the incident, added: at the moment, relations between Moscow and Warsaw are “mostly frozen.” Contacts are mainly maintained through Andreev.

Before this, the Russian ambassadors to Latvia, Sweden, Denmark, Italy and Germany, and Great Britain were also summoned to the ministries of foreign affairs. Diplomats protested in connection with the accession to the Russian Federation of new subjects and referendums in which they voted for such a decision. Voting took place from 23 to 27 September. The signing of agreements on the entry of four new regions into Russia took place on September 30 in the Kremlin.
