Ukrainian peace negotiator and adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak stated on Saturday that Moscow has a "new war tactic" to create a large-scale panic in Ukraine by attacking the country's cities with more powerful cruise missiles, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"They are forcing our people to put pressure on the government so that they say 'let's make some territorial concessions,'" the official explained. Podolyak reaffirmed that Russia's new tactic, which is to force Ukraine to sit down at the negotiating table, will not work.

As a result of these attacks, he stated Ukraine requires not only air defense but also a missile defense system, which is "critical to breaking Russia's new concept of war." According to Podolyak, Moscow is fighting not to take over Ukraine's territory, but to annihilate a specific state while reforming European security.
