Secretary General of Council of Europe arrives in Georgia

Secretary General of the CoE Marija Pejčinović Burić has arrived in Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, APA's Georgian bureau reports.

Marija Pejčinović Burić has arrived in Georgia today in connection with Georgia’s upcoming chairmanship.

Within the framework of the visit, Secretary General of the CoE will hold official meetings with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze.

The Council of Europe Action Plan 2020-2023 will also be handed over to Georgia within framework of the visit.

Georgia will take over the chairmanship of Council of Europe’s (CoE) Committee of Ministers for a six-month term starting November 27.
