A fuel depot in the Black Sea port of Sevastopol caught fire, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said on Saturday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
He said the preliminary information points to a drone attack as the likely cause.
"All the necessary security services are on the scene. The area of the fire is about 1,000 square meters," Razvozhaev said in a statement, calling on the local population to remain calm.
There are no reports of damage or casualties. Sevastopol is the largest city in the Crimean Peninsula, under Russian occupation since 2014.
