“I have information that the burning of the Quran caused very serious reactions in Turkiye. And I meet these reactions with understanding. Personally, I consider burning such a holy book a shameful act. I understand the ire of Muslims in Turkiye and the world and I condemn this step in this regard. I also believe that it is necessary for the Swiss government to prevent these and similar acts,” he stressed.
