In Georgia, the teacher's method of punishing students in the public school of the village of Marneuli, Marneuli municipality, where Azerbaijanis live compactly, caused public dissatisfaction, APA’s local bureau reports citing “Aktual.ge”.

To punish the fourth-grade kids who were unprepared for their homework, the Georgian language teacher in the village school made them kneel and took their photo, and shared it.

The Marneuli Resource Center (education department) has confirmed the veracity of the information.

Georgian language teacher Rahman Musayev was dismissed.

Mehman Musayev, the school's director, said this in a statement to the local media.

The director stated that the incident is under investigation and that he has been in touch with the parents of the children:

"They stated that their kids didn't talk about this at home," Mehman Musayev said.
