"There will be no accelerated procedure or privilege for Ukraine's membership to EU," Clément Beaune, Minister Delegate for Europe said at the microphone of Europe 1 on Wednesday, APA reports citing Global Happenings.

For Clément Beaune, Minister, this request is the subject of “total consensus” among EU members. “It will be confirmed on Thursday and Friday. It’s a long process, Ukraine will not be a member of the European Union tomorrow morning.”

This candidacy must still be officially validated Thursday at a summit. But the deputy elected in the 7th constituency of Paris made a point of specifying that there would be no “accelerated procedure or privilege”. “For a country to join the European Union, all the EU countries must agree, including France, and in France, it goes through a vote in Parliament or a referendum,” he said.
