Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar met with British Defense Minister Ben Wallace in Ankara, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said, APA reports.
Bilateral relations and regional issues, including the Russian-Ukrainian war were discussed at the meeting.
Hulusi Akar said Turkish-British relations were strategic.
They stressed the importance of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, especially the PKK / YPG-ISIS and FETO.
It was noted that a ceasefire should be declared soon to restore peace and stability in the region with the support of Ukraine's independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty.
At the same time, it was reported that the work on solving the grain problem will continue in a coordinated manner.
The sides agreed to continue cooperation in the field of military training.
