This recent event (referring to Azerbaijan's anti-terrorism measures in Karabakh) is not related to Pashinyan. It does not pertain to the state of Armenia, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in response to Turkish journalists' questions while returning from New York, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
The Turkish leader said that this is an issue related to the marauding Armenian separatists in Karabakh.
He pointed out that the attempts by the separatists to hold so-called elections have seriously concerned both Azerbaijan and the Armenian Prime Minister:
"Because Azerbaijan saw this event as 'igniting an ongoing process.' Meanwhile, of course, the martyrdom of our brothers escalated the situation to a completely different level. Warnings were given, but despite all these warnings, they continued to do what they knew best, and Azerbaijan took action and completed its operations before it was too late."
