Turkish President: "Putin particularly interested in one of prisoners"

"Priority was issue of "grain corridor" and exchange of prisoners for Türkiye in Russia-Ukraine war," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists after Friday praying, APA's correspondent in Istanbul reports.

Erdogan has noted that more than 4 million tonnes of grain have already been carried through the corridor.

"Certainly, one of our main steps now is the grain from Russia. The most important issue is transfer of fertilizer. We will send them to poor countries as soon as start it," noted Turkish leader.

Turkish President has added that a decision was adopted on 200 persons in the exchange of prisoners: "These 200 persons are in us. They are our guests. Putin was particularly interested in one of them (Viktor Medvedchuk). We have already sent him to Russia."
