“Ukraine was left alone in its righteous fight,” said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the opening ceremony of Antalya Diplomacy Forum, APA reports.
“We regret that the crises turned into conflict. This mostly disappointed us. We can not turn a blind eye to the occupation of the territory of the neighboring country and refuse it,” Erdogan stressed.
He added that both Ukraine and Russia are friendly countries for Turkiye: “If the occupation of Crimea was reacted in 2014, would we be facing this situation today?! Ukraine was not ensured with the necessary support. Ukraine was left alone in its righteous fight and now we are face to face with its bitter consequences.”
