Turkish presidential aide says his words about Russia misunderstood

Assistant to the Turkish president, Ihsan Sener said he did not condemn the deployment of CSTO peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan, APA reports quoting TASS.

Sener, who met with the Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov, said that his words about the Russian occupation of Kazakhstan and Soviet oppression were misunderstood.

The ambassador and presidential aide expressed satisfaction with the stabilization of the situation in Kazakhstan.

Ihan Sener denounced Russia's military intervention in Kazakhstan at a conference entitled "We have not forgotten and will not forget July 15."
