Turkish, Ukrainian Presidents mull situation in Mariupol

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky had a telephone conversation, the Turkish Presidential Administration said, APA reports.
The latest situation in the Russian-Ukrainian war and issues related to the discussion process were in the focus of the telephone conversation.
The Turkish President stressed the need to ensure the evacuation of the wounded and civilians from Mariupol, where the situation is getting worse every day.
Erdogan said he was ready to do everything possible to assist in the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia, including through mediation.
He also noted that Turkey has a principled positive approach to the issue of guaranteeing security in Ukraine.
