The future of the latest Brexit agreement on the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland will be decided "in the next seven to eight hours," European Council President Donald Tusk told reporters on Wednesday as he added that the "basic foundations" of the deal have been prepared, APA reports citing The Guardian.

Tusk's timing puts the decision on the Brexit deal between 9:30 pm CET and 10:30 pm CET.

Earlier, EU's top Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, said he was "optimistic" about a deal being reached today, but UK media reports hinted that London may still not have a green light from DUP, its Northern Irish partner whose backing in Parliament Tories need.
