David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People party, said that Ukraine may have to mobilize even more people to defend against Russian aggression. This may become necessary if the Russians place a nuclear arsenal on the territory of Belarus.
The Ukrainian parliamentarian reacted to the statement of the President of the Russian Federation about the possibility of placing the Russian strategic nuclear arsenal on the territory of Belarus. According to David Arakhamia, currently Kyiv does not take this threat seriously, but it is necessary to prepare for anything.
"The world must be ready. I think if they really decide to do this, we will have to face a situation where a second front opens up, more than a thousand kilometers long. It will be a test for us, more people will have to be mobilized , as we will need a minimum of 8 new brigades to control this front line." – said Arahamiya.
At the same time, he noted that along the border between Ukraine and Belarus there is mostly swampy terrain that is very difficult to cross.
