Ukraine has returned the bodies of 84 fallen Ukrainian soldiers, Ukrainian Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory said, APA reports.
"Today, the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers were repatriated from the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, the bodies of 84 more defenders were returned," says the source.
It is noted that the repatriation of the bodies from the occupied territories took place with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration, the Commissioner for Missing Persons in cooperation with the Joint Center at the Security Service of Ukraine, the Civil-Military Cooperation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies, departments, and international organizations.
It was added that the transfer of the bodies of the fallen defenders was carried out in accordance with the Geneva Convention.
After identification, the bodies of the defenders will be handed over to their families for a decent burial.
