United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Saturday that it was important to establish conditions for peace in Ukraine, according to a readout of his speech released by the UN press service, APA reports citing TASS.
"It is very important to create the conditions to re-establish dialogue and progressively to start looking into a future where peace will prevail," he said at a news conference on the sidelines of the 12th ASEAN-UN summit in Cambodia.
The UN chief said that any kind of peace should be based on the values of the UN Charter and international law.
