US crude inventories up by 1.3 million barrels - EIA

Commercial crude oil inventories in the United States, which are not taking into account those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, grew by 1.3 million barrels to 415.7 million barrels in the week ending April 29, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report published on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Crude oil refinery inputs averaged 15.5 million barrels per day, down by 218,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week's average. Meanwhile, refineries operated at 88.4% of their capacity. Gasoline production rose and averaged 9.7 million barrels per day.

Crude oil imports averaged 6.3 million barrels per day, which represented an increase of 397,000 barrels per day in comparison to the week before. In the meantime, total commercial petroleum inventories went up by 2.6 million.
