The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said he spoke with Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, about Russia’s role in global health matters and the situation in Ukraine, APA reports citing The Guardian.
"Spoke with Foreign Minister Lavrov about Russia's participation in global health matters, work with WHO, and the health situation in Ukraine. I requested safe access to Mariupol, Kherson, Southern Zaporizhzhia and other besieged areas to deliver health aid. Civilians must be protected," Ghebreyesus tweeted
