Own power supply of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was transferred to diesel generators due to the shutdown of the last high-voltage line with a voltage class of 750 kilovolts, APA reports citing Oopstop.
“As a result of the shutdown of the 750 kW Dniprovska high-voltage line, the Zaporozhye NPP lost external power supply. The auxiliary power is supplied from diesel generators,” — says in the message.
The reasons for the disconnection of the line are established. It is clarified that the radiation background at the NPP site, in the sanitary protection zone and the observation zone is within the normal range.
