Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukraine's presidential administration, on Saturday advocated for lowering the price ceiling on Russian oil exports to $30 per barrel in order to "destroy the enemy's economy faster," APA reports citing Teletrader.

Yermak claimed Moscow fears any such moves because it means "Ukraine will get its way" and "Russia itself will pay and be responsible" for all its alleged "crimes."

The news comes after the Group of 7, Australia and the European Union agreed on a price ceiling of $60 per barrel for seaborne Russian crude oil in an effort to put further pressure on the Kremlin over its actions in Ukriane.
