Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the UN secretary general for help to rescue the remaining injured Ukrainians at the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, APA reports citing BBC.
In a phone call on Wednesday, he thanked Antonio Guterres for his efforts to secure evacuations earlier this week.
And he asked for further assistance: "The lives of the people who remain there are in danger. Everyone is important to us. We ask for your help in saving them," he said, according to his press service.
