Zelensky becomes first president to hold a phone conversation with Liz Truss

The newly elected British Prime Minister Liz Truss and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation, said the Ukrainian President on Twitter, APA reports.

"I became the first foreign president to have a phone conversation with the newly elected British Prime Minister Liz Truss. I invited her to Ukraine and expressed my gratitude to the British people for the main military and economic assistance provided to Ukraine," said Zelensky.

According to him, Britain expressed its readiness to further strengthen these aids. The President said that the issue of security guarantee was also discussed during the phone conversation

"We also talked about Britain's participation in the restoration of Ukraine. We discussed the coordination of additional pressure on RussiaThe aim is to put an end to the aggression and bring the aggressors to justice. It is important that Russia is recognized as a terrorist state. We will continue active work in all formats," the Ukrainian leader noted.
