Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed several "important defense decisions" made on Monday, including an agreement the government in Kyiv made with its European partners to accelerate the supply of shells for its artillery worth €2 billion, APA reports quoting Teletrader.

"This is a strategic step. It gives us confidence in our unity, in the immutability of the movement towards victory over the terrorist state," Zelensky said in his nightly video address.

The leader also commented on a new defense package from the United States worth $350 million that includes rockets for HIMARS, artillery shells, and other ammunition. "I am grateful to President Biden, Congress, and all Americans," he stated.
