President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the amount of losses suffered by the state as a result of the destruction during the Russian special operation, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.
“According to very preliminary estimates Ukraine lost 550 billion as a result of destruction,” Zelensky said during a roundtable during the spring session of the IMF and the World Bank.
He stressed that the cost of restoring the country’s economy will amount to seven billion dollars a month. In this regard, the head of Ukraine called on Western countries to provide support.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, in turn, suggested that the country’s GDP could fall by 30-50% this year. “Restoration and transformation will cost us $600 billion,” the politician explained.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that Zelensky allowed deblockade Mariupol by military means. He made this statement during a briefing with the prime ministers of Denmark and Spain.
