Azerbaijani taekwondoka Khanoglan Karimov stopped competing in the World Championship held in Baku, APA reports.

The athlete fought with Tobias Hittel (Denmark) in the 1/16 finals.

Since the opponent won with a score of 2:0, Karimov said goodbye to the competition.

The World Championship will end on June 4.

Azerbaijani taekwondoka Khanoglan Karimov secured his second consecutive victory at the World Taekwondo Championship held in Baku, APA reports.

Facing Zakaria Muhammed Ghali (Saudi Arabia) in the 1/32 final, Azerbaijani athlete who is fighting at 63 kilograms, has won with score of 2:1.

Karimov will fight Tobias Hittel (Denmark) in the 1/16 final.

The Championship will end on June 4.

Fights for fourth day of world taekwondo championship held in Baku has kicked off, APA reports.

National team athlete of Azerbaijan Khanoglan Karimov started the world championship with victory.

The Azerbaijani taekwondoka, fighting at 63 kilograms, faced with Alfredo Martins (Portugal) in his debut fight. The fight, which took place within the 1/64 final round, ended with Karimov's easy victory - 2:0.

He will face Zakaria Muhammed Ghali (Saudi Arabia) in the 1/32 final.

The Championship will end on June 4.
