President of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation (ATF) Kamaladdin Heydarov met with the members of the Azerbaijan national team that will leave for the world championship., APA reports.
ATF vice presidents Naghi Safarov, and Niyamaddin Pashayev, members of the Board of Directors, team coaches, and taekwondo players took part in the meeting.
Kamaladdin Heydarov, who is interested in the current readiness of taekwondo players, said that he expects success from our representatives in the competition to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico. He reminded that the national team has always successfully returned from the world championships adding that he hoped for a confident performance of our athletes this time.
After the head of the Federation wished success to the team, the head coach of the men's national team, Reza Mehmandoust, and the head coach of the women's team, Sabuhi Zulfugarov, informed about the readiness of our taekwondo players. They noted that the team's training was going according to plan, and they were fully ready for the competition.
In the end, the team members said that they would fight to claim a medal at the World Championship.
