Active portfolio EBRD on Azerbaijan decreases by 42%

As of January 31, 2021, volume of active portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Azerbaijan has been 1,153 bln. euros on 34 projects (including undisbursed commitments). This indicator has decreased by 42.2% in comparison with the latest indicator of the Bank (November). Number of active projects has decreased from 36 to 34, EBRD told APA-Economics.

79% of the portfolio (909 mln. euros) has been made up by investment in sustainable Infrastructure, 19% (223 mln. euros) industry, commerce, and agribusiness, and 2% (21 mln. euros) in financial institutions. Operating assets of the Bank in Azerbaijan decreasing by 2.4% amounted to 1,019 bln. euros.
