Azerbaijan increases fruit and vegetable import

345 741,45 tones of fruit and vegetables worth $ 194 390,63 thousand were imported to Azerbaijan in 2019, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the indicators published by State Customs Committee.

During the last year, the value of fruit and vegetables imported by Azerbaijan increased by 18.1%, and the volume increased by 14.1% in comparison to 2018.

Note that import of fruit and vegetables in 2019 equaled to 1.42% of the total import of Azerbaijan.

Remind that, during the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 628 509,58 tons of fruit and vegetable worth $ 605 815,86 thousand to foreign countries. These indicators have decreased by 8.2% and 1.2% respectively in comparison to the previous year.
