As of January 1, 2021, Azerbaijan signed loan agreements with international financial and credit institutions totaling $ 13.031 billion in US dollar equivalent given directly to the government and served at the expense of the state budget, it has been reflected on consolidated report of the Cabinet of Ministers on activity in 2020, APA-Economics reports.
The mentioned amount was signed within the framework of 210 loan agreement on 168 project and program. According to the report, totally, principal debt amounted to about USD 3,732 bln. on loans used as of January 1, 2021 was returned.
