Azerbaijan's current account surplus to increase sharply until 2025 - FORECAST

Current account surplus of Azerbaijan in 2021 is forecasted to make up USD 104,8 mln. or to be 0,2% of the forecasted GDP, APA-Economics reports citing “concept and forecast indicators of economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021 and the next 3 years" included in the budget envelope.

According to the long term forecasts, the current account surplus of the country is expected to increase by 8,1 times reaching USD 847,9 mln. or to reach 1,8% of GDP. The mentioned indicator is expected to be USD 1,950 bln (3,8% of GDP) in 2023, and USD 2,408 bln. (4,5% of GDP) in 2024.
