Azerbaijan's positive trade balance with EU countries decreased by 33%

In January-February of the current year, the volume of the trade turnover of Azerbaijan with European Union (EU) countries amounted to $1,8263 bln. and this is 25,7% less compared to the January-February of 2020, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the published figures by the State Statistics Committee.

In January-February, export to the EU amounted to $1,493 bln. and import to $333,206 mln. This is 28,6% and 4,6% less, respectively than January-February of the last year.

Thus, in the first two months of this year, the trade surplus amounted to $ 1,160 billion, a decrease of 33,4% compared to the same period of 2020.
