CBA: Inflation rate forecasted for end of this year is 3-3.5%

According to the forecasts updated in June, upon condition of maintaining the existing macroeconomic policy, the most expected inflation rate for the end of 2020 is 3-3.5%, which is within the targeted interval (4±2%). Depending on the processes going on in the economy, the forecasts will be regularly updated during the remaining part of the current year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) told "APA-Economics”.

The report says during the period past after the last meeting of CBA’s Management Board dedicated to the monetary policy, the annual inflation rate has decreased. According to the official statistics, 0.5% deflation was recorded in May, while the annual inflation made up 2.9%.
