Cavusoglu: “Relations with Russia is an important side of Turkey’s foreign policy”

In the first nine months of this year, bilateral trade turnover between Russia and Turkey has been USD 14 bln., said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA-Economics reports.

“Despite pandemics, volume of the bilateral trade turnover with the Russian Federation the first nine months of this year has made up USD 14 bln., while number of Russian tourists we received in October has reached 1.9 mln. It is the indicator of level of bilateral relations”, noted Cavusoglu.

 

According to the Minister, relations with Russia in an important side of Turkey’s foreign policy: “Projects such as "Turkish Stream” gas pipeline, which we launched on January 8, and “Akkuyu” nuclear power plant, which we target to commission in 2023, are main brands of bilateral relations.”
