In connection with the implementation of the Order of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev “about measures connected with elimination of the damage caused to the civil population living in the villages of Tovuz region, and to the state property including the infrastructure facilities as a result of the intensive fire opened on Tovuz region of the Azerbaijan Republic by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia”, the Working Group consisting of representatives and specialists of the concerned state agencies has started the works of evaluation of the damage caused to Tovuz region as a result of Armenia’s military provocation, APA-Economics reports.
Currently, the condition of the civil population, their property, and state facilities that sustained damage from the military occupation in the residential settlements exposed to attack is being studied by the specialists, the relevant inspection and examination works are being conducted.
Three groups of experts have already viewed 61 individual houses and farmland in settlements of Tovuz region - Aghdam, Dondar Gushchu and Vahidli, Yukari Oysuzlu, and Ashagi Oysuzlu villages which were subjected to fire. It was defined that six houses and auxiliary buildings became completely useless and capital construction is required. Besides, that 15 houses and auxiliary buildings as well as stables were seriously damaged, 40 houses and farmland had minor damages.
Along with these as a result of artillery fire, individual farms have also seriously damaged. Thus 20-25 small horned animals, 70-75 poultry of the residents of the village died, 300-350 hay bales gathered for winter storage have completely burned, personal cars of several citizens have seriously damaged by shell fragments, household items and yard crops have damaged in 15 houses.
The state property, including infrastructure facilities, have been inspected by working groups.
Currently, the amount and value of damage to homes, auxiliary buildings, private property, and arable land, state property, as well as infrastructure facilities are being assessed. After the damage is completely determined and assessment is carried out, an Action plan will be developed by the government and the proposals on completely eliminating the complications will be presented to the Azerbaijani President.
Note that the measures on eliminating damage in the border area of Tovuz region as a result of Armenia’s military provocation, are implemented operatively.
