Deficit in next year’s state budget and grant to Nakhchivan reduced by AZN 19 mln., funds allocated to political parties and public associations increased

“An appeal has been addressed to Azerbaijani President in regard to adoption of some proposals raised during discussions at Azerbaijani Milli Mejlis, and the President has considered possible to take into consideration a number of issues in the current draft budget”, the Finance Minister Samir Sharifov stated while responding to the proposals of the members of Azerbaijani parliament during discussion of draft state budget for 2020 in the second reading at Milli Mejlis today, APA reports.

In his speech, S. Sharifov disclosed the issues which would be taken into consideration in the draft state budget for the next year: “It has been proposed to increase by AZN 1 mln. and to bring to AZN 4 mln. the funds intended for political parties. And it has also been proposed to increase by AZN 900 thousand and to bring to AZN 5.5 mln. the funds intended for public associations. Besides, according to the purpose of fulfillment of the order of Azerbaijani President, it has also been proposed to take into account in the draft budget the allocation of AZN 600 thousand for the expenses associated with establishment of Ancient Shamkir City Historical and Cultural Reserve on the historical territory of Shamkir region and Ancient Agsu City Historical and Cultural Reserve on the historical territory of Agsu region”.

S.Sharifov said that, as a result of change to be made, the revenues and expenses of the consolidated budget for 2020 is envisaged AZN 27 bln 552 mln and AZN 29 bln 488 mln respectively as in presented project: “Deficit of the consolidated budget will made up AZN 1 bln 936 mln by decreasing it 19 mln. The revenues of the state budget will be as the presented level- AZN 24 bln 134,5 mln, while expenses will be decreased AZN 19 mln and will constitute AZN 26 bln 894,7 mln. Considering these, there is a need for amendments to presented state budget draft for 2020. We offer that, in case of adoption of these suggestions the relevant changes to be reflected in the 7.1, 7.3, 7.7, 7.12 articles of draft law.
