The works are underway to determine the first investment project across the city by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and officials of Ganja city, head of the Resident Office of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Baku Ms. Ivana Duarte told APA-Economics.
According to her, taking into consideration that EBRD is a demand-driven institution, financing will depend on the city’s needs.
“The work has just begun this week and we are currently looking at several possibilities which include an upgrade of street lighting, urban transport, and solid waste management. The city will also benefit from the support offered through EBRD Green Cities in preparing a tailored Green City Action Plan (GCAP) that identifies, prioritizes and connects its environmental challenges with sustainable infrastructure investments and policy measures,” she said.
