Excise tax on up to 20 grams of gold imported to Azerbaijan remains in force

The amendment proposed to the Tax Code in connection with the abolition of excise tax exemptions on 20 grams of gold imported into Azerbaijan, jewelry and other household products made from it, processed, sorted, pressed into frames and fixed 0.5 carat diamonds was excluded from the draft, this was reflected in the draft law "On Amendments to the Tax Code", which was submitted for discussion in the second reading at a meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, held in an online format and recommended to the plenary session of parliament, APA reports.

Note that according to the bill "On Amendments to the Tax Code", adopted in the first reading at the meeting of the Milli Mejlis on February 1 (the change proposed in Article 188.1.1), 20 grams of gold imported into Azerbaijan, jewelry, and other household items made from it, processed, sorted, framed and fixed 0.5 carat diamonds were excluded from the list of goods exempted from excise duties.

In the draft law "On Amendments to the Tax Code", submitted today for discussion in the second reading at an online meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, the amendment proposed to Article 188.1.1 was excluded from the draft.

Recall that the draft law "On Amendments to the Tax Code", submitted for discussion at today's meeting of the Milli Mejlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, held online in the second reading, is included in the agenda of the parliament meeting to be held on February 12.
