Inflation to be in the range of 2.8-3% this year, while between 3.6-4% in 2021 in Azerbaijan

According to results of this year, inflation in Azerbaijan is expected to remain in the range of 2.8-3% this year, 3.6-4% in 2021, said Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, dynamics of the inflation in the mentioned forecast horizon will significantly depend on the realization of fiscal policy, besides monetary condition.

“Removal of the world economy from the peak of recession continues very slowly. It negatively impacts good and financial markets of the world. According to the forecast of the International Monetary Fund on the world economy in October, a decrease of 4.4% is expected in the global economy. But deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the world again and restricting measures, adopted by national governments can affect realization of this forecast negatively”, E. Rustamov noted.
