Low import customs duty determined for plastic syringes

The Cabinet of Ministers has made a change in the “Goods nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Azerbaijan Republic, categories of import customs duties and categories of export customs duties”, APA reports.

According to the decision, the plastic syringes intended for insulin and having the volume of 1 milliliter (ml) and less have been exempted from import customs duty.

The import customs duty amounting to $ 0.02 has been determined for plastic syringes with volume of 2 milliliters or less, $ 0.025 – for plastic syringes with volume ranging between 2-5 milliliters, $ 0.03 – for plastic syringes with volume ranging between 5-10 milliliters, $ 0.04 – for plastic syringes with volume ranging between 10-20 milliliters , and $ 0.04 – for all other plastic syringes.

This decision will become valid after 30 days from the date of its publication and will remain valid until December 31, 2022.
