Videoconference of Economy ministers of member states of Turkic Council held  - VIDEO

The discussions in videoconference format of the Economy ministers and the heads of customs services of the member and observer countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (the Turkic Council) have been held on May 6, APA reports.

The purpose of the videoconference is to determine the areas of joint activity for implementation of the issues raised by the heads of states at the emergency Summit meeting of the Turkic Council held on initiative and under chairmanship of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev on April 10.

The event was conducted by Azerbaijan’s Economy minister Mikayil Jabbarov as the representative of the country chairing over the organization currently.

The existing economic situation in the partner countries, preparation of joint proposals and practical measures against negative social and economic impacts of COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the issues of further strengthening of cooperation in relevant areas during the post-pandemic period have been discussed at the meeting.
