Wheat import to Azerbaijan exempted from VAT for another 3 years

Wheat import to Azerbaijan has been exempted from VAT for another 3 years, according to the amendment to Tax Code approved by the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev today, APA reports.

According to the amendment, import and sale of wheat, production and sale of wheat flour and bread have been exempted from VAT for 7 years from January 1, 2017. At the same time, the term of exemption of the production and sale of the bran has been extended to 3 years.

According to the Tax Code which is in force so far, the import and sale of wheat, and production and sale of wheat flour and bread was exempt from VAT for 4 years from January 1, 2017, and production and sale of bran was exempt from VAT for 2 years from MARCH 1, 2019.
