Automobile import to Azerbaijan increases sharply

In January-September of the current year, 30 908 cars were imported to Azerbaijan which is 88,6% more in comparison to the same period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period, 27 825 cars and other motor vehicles to transport passengers were imported to Azerbaijan. This indicator increased by 89,5% over the last year.

Moreover, in January-September, 2 597 motor vehicles for transportation of freight (72,3% more in comparison to the previous year) 371

(an increase about 3,4 times) motor vehicles designed to carry 10 or more people, including drivers and 115 special purpose motor vehicles were imported to the country.
