During the period of January-June of the current year, legal entities and individuals of Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with the partners in 177 countries, exported products to 103 countries and imported from 164 countries, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
The foreign trade turnover in January-June, 2019 amounted to USD 16 866,2 mln., including the export value of USD 9 850,6 mln., the import value- USD 7 015.6 mln., resulting in a positive trade surplus of USD 2 835.0 mln, taking into consideration the statistically-assessed value of exported crude oil and natural gas, registered, but not formalized completely by Customs bodies.
Foreign trade turnover increased by 15.2 percent, imports by 50.5 percent, while export decreased by 1.4 percent as compared to January-June of the previous year. In real terms, the trade turnover increased by 6.5 percent, including imports by 19.6 percent, exports by 0.4 percent.
