“Transition prospect of Azerbaijan’s manat to full floating exchange rate depends on transition to inflation-targeting regime”, chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
“Today it should be clearly stated that de-facto is major anchor of stable inflation. We know that we import consumption products in a considerable amount and their shares in consumption basket are very high. If level of inflation is low in Azerbaijan today, one of its main reasons is stability of currency and its expectations”, noted E. Rustamov.
