Negative balance of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and US increases by 5 times

Azerbaijan's volume of trade turnover with the US has been 670.2 million USD during January-September this year, which is 21.8 million dollars or 3.4% more than in the same period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing State Customs Committee, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on State Statistics Committee reports.

At the same time, during the reporting period, the volume of exports decreased by 14.5 times to 18 million USD, and imports increased by 68.1% to 264.3 million USD.

A 634.2 million USD worth negative trade balance has been formed in January-September of this year, which is five times more than the annual compare.

As can be seen, trade exchange between the US and Azerbaijan increased mainly due to Azerbaijan's imports from the United States.
