Prime Minister: “Azerbaijan is open to the world and much funds are invested in the country” - UPDATED

“British business is represented at high level in Azerbaijan. The bilateral relations between the two countries are also at a very high level”, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov said in his statement to London bureau of APA.

The Prime Minister said that BP being one of the largest companies of Great Britain was the operator of major projects in Azerbaijan: “There are many British companies in Azerbaijan. They invest their funds and earn their incomes, and no problem is encountered in this area”.

A. Asadov also said that he would hold meetings at BP company as well during his visit.

The Prime Minister noted that Azerbaijan is open to the world and much funds are invested in the country.
A. Asadov also touched upon the issues discussed at the first investment summit of the member countries of Eastern Partnership of the European Union arranged in London by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

“At the today’s event we provided to foreign investors the information about the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan, the future activity programs, and the reforms in the area of diversification of economy, and we invited investors to Azerbaijan. At the event, mainly the questions about the conditions created in our country lately for small and medium business and foreign investments and the problems encountered in these areas were asked. In reply to these questions, the clarifications were provided in the framework of Azerbaijani legislature and the conditions created in our country”, A. Asadov stressed.
The Prime Minister also stated that bilateral meetings in various formats would also be held during the visit: “The meetings with the newly elected prime ministers of Ukraine and Moldova, EBRD President and other officials have also been planned”.

Note that currently Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov participates in the first investment summit of the member countries of Eastern Partnership program of the European Union arranged in London by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
